Pomona, CA. – August 23, 2007– Keystone Automotive Industries (NasdaqNM: KEYS) announced this week its sponsorship of the CARSTAR Super’Stang Muscle Tour. As a gold level sponsor, Keystone has donated $10,000 to help in the re-creation of a 1967 Mustang Muscle Car.
Over the next eighteen months, the Super’Stang is expected to make approximately 40 appearances at fundraising events, such as high-profile car collector events, golf tournaments, car shows and cruise events. The tour will end in January 2009 with the sale of the CARSTAR Super’Stang at a high profile auction in Scottsdale, AZ. Proceeds from the fundraising events and auction will benefit a charitable cause.
“I’m pleased to report that we received overwhelming industry support for the Super’Stang project,” said Richard Cross III, CARSTAR chairman and chief executive officer.
According to Keystone Vice President Christopher Northup, “The CARSTAR Super’Stang Muscle Tour showcases the creative and technological savvy of the automotive industry and its history. It’s an amazing way to demonstrate what can be accomplished when we pull together our resources and experience for a common goal.”
