Pomona, CA - December 18, 2007 - Keystone Automotive Industries and LKQ Corporation recently participated in the NABC Recycled Rides Program, a nationwide vehicle donation program which provides safe and reliable vehicles to families in need. The vehicles, which were simultaneously presented on Monday, November 19 at ceremonies taking place throughout the country, were repaired using numerous parts and materials donated by Keystone and LKQ.
"We personally delivered the parts to Silver Hammer Northwest CARSTAR," said Darrin Cook, Keystone-Omaha General Manager. "They were very appreciative and we felt great knowing that we were supporting a worthy cause."
Donations were also made by LKQ Southern California. According to LKQ Plant Manager Todd Hanson, "When we heard about the Recycled Rides Program, we knew we had to help. We gave FIX Auto in Ontario, CA numerous items including a grille, a rear bumper assembly and a front bumper cover."
An additional donation of a beam axle and door assembly was made by LKQ Foster Auto Parts in Portland, OR to Precision Paint & Body in Beaverton, OR. "The Recycled Rides Program really makes a difference in peoplexs lives and we were pleased to offer our support," said LKQ Plant Manager Terry Bohr.
